030: Busting the Myths of Aging: A Conversation with Dr. Maria Cristina
Welcome to LTG. Our guest is Dr. Maria Cristina and we dive into the myths of aging today.
Dr. Maria Cristina of Sheehan Health and Wellness is an expert on aging, as we know it. At the age of 69, she stepped away from her academic career where she served as a CEO for 20 years, and ventured into the world of fitness. Today, at the age of 77, she is a natural body fitness competitor, winning multiple gold and silver medals in bikini, swimsuit, and sports model categories in international competitions since 2017.
We had such an inspiring conversation about aging. We started by discussing the myths of aging and ways we can keep our minds and bodies looking and feeling young. She shared how important mindset is when it comes to aging, and how you will never catch her calling herself old. Dr. Maria also shared some great tips about keeping your body healthy through movement. She is such an inspiration, and I loved our conversation.
